Meet Sarah Hatfield – IF:Local Scholarship Winner
Sarah is…
A passionate leader who loves deeply!
Why is this important that you attend the IF:Local Leader Gathering?
Sarah & her husband have been in ministry for over 20 years passionately serving students & adults. Their last 10 years have not been void of struggle though as they have faithfully followed God without hesitation through church planting, surviving breast cancer, adopting a newborn while being pregnant, losing family members suddenly, & leaving the church that they planted. Through all that Sarah’s trust in God has never wavered as she’s seen Him victorious time & time again! They recently followed God yet again into unknown territory & moved their family of 5 to Missouri to become the lead pastor of a 15 year old church and she is longing to see the women of this church come together under a united focus & vision to become kingdom changers. Sarah is a natural born leader who others seek to emulate & follow. She has spent years pouring into young women & students and the ripples of her influence are too numerous to count. I would love to see her poured back into through this leadership training so that she can go back & be a catalyst for life-change among the women of her church. There is no doubt the potential for exponential impact under Sarah’s leadership combined with the equipping that the IF team can provide. I really feel this is her time to be poured back into & pray you help make that possible!
What are your dreams for your local context?
From Sarah: “I get crazy excited when I dream about what God can & will do in the life of women in the KC area! By launching an IF gathering, we will encourage women to unite to make a huge exponential impact in their areas of influence. To teach that our past doesn’t define us, but to live BOLD lives as daughters’ of the King. I am willing to allow God to use me in this IF movement to challenge, teach, & inspire women to embrace the calling He has for their lives. As a pastor’s wife, I am humbled to have a platform that shines the light on who I am as a wife, mom & follower of Christ…albeit super messy at times. We as women must have a support system of sisters around us to lift us up when we’re weak, celebrate with, and have the occasional “Starbucks run” when caffeine & venting is needed. I believe IF can be an incredible catalyst to ignite women in KC to link arms & form these tribes. We can make an eternal impact for Jesus right here, right now ‘for such a time as this!'”
